If you thought day one and two of Splendour had a lot, then oh boy day three had another thing coming. Poking our increasingly weary heads out of the tent on Sunday morning, we were greeted by again another spectacular day of clear blue skies and all day sunshine. Shaking off the frost of the night before was made all the more crusty by hometown heroes Skegss, who brought their brand of surf rock to the Amphitheatre in the early afternoon. Following that up were Australian/UK duo Antony and Cleopatra with their soulful take on electronic music. From then on the night light up. Particular props go to Sampa The Great who brought an all fire set to the Mix Up Stage. Capping off the night were stellar performances from MGMT and The Wombats who led into the man we’d all been waiting for, Kendrick Lamar, who provided a fitting end to an intense three days.
