Darlings of the indie pop scene, San Cisco have released their second single ‘Hey, did I do you wrong?’ due to feature on their upcoming third full-length release, ‘The Water’ – due out in late April. Comprised of dulcimer-toned keyboards and summery guitars, paired with laidback percussion and the occasional egg-shaker here and there, the songs instrumentation is bright and joyful, while its lyrical content presents a contrasting narrative tinged with melancholy.

Lead singer Jordi Davieson – in his soft and tender voice – looks back on a relationship that has become vacant of the closeness and warmth and joy featured in the songs music video. The way instrumentation, lyrical content and videography juxtapose one another provides a complex tension to the viewing experience.

The single is the follow on from lead cut ‘SloMo’, which will also feature on ‘The Water’. The band is also due to perform at Mount Isa on the 22nd of April, appearing alongside The Smith Street Band, Tash Sultan and Thundamentals for Triple J’s One Night Stand.
