Nike Mac Attack "OG"
In 2023, Nike is set to reintroduce a wide range of classic silhouettes and colourways from their archives, generating much excitement among sneaker enthusiasts. One of the most highly anticipated releases is the Nike Mac Attack OG, famously associated with tennis icon John McEnroe and initially launched in 1984.
This retro release marks the first time that the sneakers have made a comeback. In 2021, influential figures like LeBron James and Travis Scott were seen sporting vintage pairs, thrusting them back into the sneaker spotlight and possibly inspiring Nike to return them retroactively.
Expected to hit stores in the summer of 2023, the Mac Attack OG will retain its original design elements. The upper is constructed with mesh underlays and smooth leather overlays, both treated in a lighter grey shade. Navy accents feel their presence on the Swooshes, mesh toe boxes, leather collars, and lower heels. The tongues feature black and blue checkerboard banners and are adorned with a bold red Nike Sportswear logo.
