When things all fall into place!!

BYO: How do you describe your style?

MICAELA: I would say my style of photography is clean and calm with Scandinavian influences. I love working through movements and capturing the moments in between.

BYO: What inspired you to start shooting?

MICAELA: I started shooting on my dad’s old analogue camera. I was probably about 10 years old and had no idea how to use it. Still, I would bring it everywhere and just play around. Since then it’s just been a given, not the fact that I would work with it but that I would always shoot.

BYO: What’s been the most exciting project you’ve worked on so far?

MICAELA: Last year I travelled over to Italy for a friend’s wedding and later found myself in Paris for a couple days. I figured I should make the most of it and put together an editorial for One Magazine http://www.micaelamandorff.com/#/holder-beholder/. It was one of those shoots that shouldn’t have worked out because I had so little time and no contacts but it all just fell in to place. The team I worked with was amazing and I hope to go back to shoot with them again soon.

BYO: What’s been the most unusual location for a shoot?

MICAELA: I shot a fashion campaign in a construction supply yard last year. There were trucks coming in and out all morning so we had to constantly run in and out to get the shots. I absolutely loved shooting there though.

BYO: Who or what would be your dream subject?

MICAELA: My dream would be to do a fashion shoot in New Zealand or Norway. I love the dramatic landscapes that they offer.

BYO: What was the last camera you bought and how’d you find it?

MICAELA: My latest camera is the Nikon D850. I’ve been very happy with the result so far.
