BYO: How do you describe your style?

PETER: I’d have to put myself in the lifestyle category. As much as I love shooting surfing and the ocean, I’m captivated when watching people in their everyday lives.

BYO: What inspired you to start shooting?

PETER: In my early 20s I moved over to Scandinavia to be with my partner, in that time I felt like I needed a hobby because it wasn’t so easy to just go surfing. I also loved showing my family and friends what I was up. As soon as I got a camera I was hooked. From buying new lenses to upgrading camera bodies.

BYO: What’s been the most exciting project you’ve worked on so far?

PETER: The minute I bought my first film camera! I felt I needed a challenge in photography, and I love the purity of film.

BYO: What’s been the most unusual location for a shoot?

PETER: I’ve found myself in so many amazing places lately due to photography. It’s led me on so many adventures, from hiking the highest mountains to swimming out to some of the most amazing waves, but I would say it would have to the South Australian desert when I was on a trip with a friend recently.

BYO: Who or what would be your dream subject?

PETER: My dream subject would be somewhere tropical that no human has ever been before, with my wonderful partner in crime Sara

BYO: What was the last camera you bought and how’d you find it?

PETER: As a matter of fact, last year my good friend Dylan from The Film Dump hooked me up with my first Nikon, the Nikon f3, which sparked my love for Nikon’s. My latest purchase was a Nikon f4 from a fellow in Japan. Reasons for buying it was the 8000/s shutter speed!
