Single of the Week: Ocean Alley
Sydney six-piece Ocean Alley have delivered fans a new single ahead of their upcoming second studio album, Chiaroscuro. The track, Confidence, released this week, is a dynamic song with serious groove that we’re predicted will make its way onto playlists as soon as its heard.
Following off the back of their 2016 debut Lost Tropics, two Eps and a whole host of sold out shows and festival gigs, Confidence’s slinky beat and sleazy guitar sounds like a natural progression for the band, with the signature vocals of Baden Donegal resonating throughout the verses. Taking a different turn from their Hottest 100 hit The Comedown, Confidence’s psychedelic sound is a promising insight into their new album and the growth of the band as a premier Australian talent.
With a seriously cool music video of the band and friends struggling with the challenges of roller blades, Ocean Alley just keep producing the goods; proving that they only have good things to offer with their new look, sound and album. The band will be touring the capital cities while also playing Groovin the Moo this April and May; check out their website for more details about tickets and dates.
