Rolling Loud Releases First Line-Up

When we heard that Rolling Loud was heading to our neck of the woods we knew it was going to be big, but not this big. Known for lighting up stadiums in Los Angeles and Miami with acts from the likes of Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole and Young Thug, local crew HSU Events are bringing the show to Sydney Showgrounds on Sunday, January 27.

The event that Sydney is being treated to is in no way a pale imitation on the original. Leading the line-up is Future who after eight years redefining the hip-hop landscape continues to push this musical genre forwards. Next cab off the rank is Lil Uzi Vert. Synonymous with what is now known as ‘emo-rap’, his track with Migos, Bag and Boujee was the defining song of 2017. Joining them will be Tyga, Smokepurpp, Manu Crook$ and for the first time in Australia Playboy Carti.

A line-up such as this is sure to redefine the calibre of hip-hop artists Australian audiences have come to expect. With artists from Miami, Philadelphia and Atlanta, as well as the centres of California and New York, the festival will showcase the diversity of hip-hop sounds currently emanating from across North America. Having this encased in one festival for Sydney audiences will enable attendees to get a first-hand understanding of how this style continues to develop.

With presale starting at 10am, Thursday, November 15 and tickets going on general sale at 10am Friday, and with more artist announcements on the way, this is not one to sleep on.
