Yours and Owls
What a weekend. If, like us, you were at the biggest party to grace North Wollongong’s Stuart Park, Yours and Owls, then you’ll understand how we feel.
Despite being a young festival, Yours and Owls is well on its way to placing itself as one of the quintessential Australian festivals. Combine a balmy coastal sea breeze with smooth guitar riffs and sweet vocals from some of the best up and coming and established Australian acts, and I don’t think you can go wrong.
With a massive main stage central to the festival’s layout, there was a great a sense of community. Punters of varying energy levels could simultaneously dance to their hearts content, next to those more inclined to lie on the grass to the sweet hummings of Jack River or Sarah Blasko.
For those keen on breaking away from the pack, the smaller stages provided an intimate space for punters to interact with cult favourite bands such as Hellions, Cub Sport and Luca Brasi. Alternatively, the electro stage provided a space to just escape the worldly realm to the sound of a consistent bass line.
A truly chilled festival, Yours and Owls provided a great escape from everyday life, and created an oasis to safely get lost in.
Check out what we mean with these dreamy film shots. More to come.
