People of Splendour

At the closest festival Australia has to Coachella, it's as much about the music as it is about the fashion. This year at Splendour in the Grass, neon pinks and greens, body harnesses, and crochet flares, skirts and dresses abounded on the hills and fields of North Byron Parklands.

Rocking up in squad outfits - all bedecked in leopard print, or pastels, or shimmering gold - was the go for large groups of festivalgoers, but there was no sense of exclusivity between crews. In bathroom lines, tightly packed mosh pits, waiting at food trucks or browsing the clothing stalls, conversations were easily started and new friendships were made to the strains of "hey dude, that outfit is sick".

All in all, Splendour is filled with a bunch of fashion-forward happy campers, all in good spirits as they watch their favourite live acts killing it onstage.
