Splendour reveals splendid lineup

The three day festival at North Byron Bay Parklands is bringing us one of their most legendary lineups so far. Talented artists like Chance the Rapper (who is releasing an album this year), Tame Impala and Childish Gambino will be headlining. We’re also super excited to see dreamy RnB artist SZA as well as singer/songwriter James Blake, who has collaborated with artists like Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, Bon Iver and has started off 2019 with releasing his new album, Assume Form. And of course we’ll be seeing loads of amazing Australian acts like Courtney Barnett, Matt Corby, Dope Lemon, Kaiit and Cosmo’s Midnight. A lot of these artists will hopefully be doing sideshows (fingers crossed) so keep an eye out for announcements. Also keep in mind that Gambino has been talking of an early retirement for a while so this might be the last time to see him! Tickets will be available to the general public on Thursday, April 11.

Teyana Taylor Decides to Grace Australian With Her Presence

One of RnB’s most fast-rising and unique artists has announced she will be doing an Australian tour this year, coming to Melbourne as well as Sydney as part of the 2019 Vivid program. Teyana Taylor’s first taste of national spotlight was in 2007 when her 16th birthday party was featured on the popular MTV show My Super Sweet 16th. That same year she signed with Pharrell Williams' Star Trek Entertainment label, and the following year she released ‘Google Me’, the lead single from her debut mixtape From a Planet Called Harlem. The song was a success on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, leading to several acting gigs and an appearance on Kanye West's 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Since then Kanye signed her to his GOOD Music label and she began to work on her debut full-length, going on to collaborate with artists like Travis Scott, John Legend and Pusha T. The result, 2014's VII, was a hit, topping the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and cracking the mainstream Top 20 thanks to popular singles like ‘Maybe’ and ‘Do Not Disturb’. Teyana is known to wow audiences with her vocals, dance moves and outfits.
