Moncler, Mercedes-Benz, and Nigo Unveil Collaborative Collection with Exclusive G-Class Release
First introduced during the high-profile Moncler Genius 2024 presentation in Shanghai, Moncler has officially launched its highly anticipated collaboration with Mercedes-Benz and renowned Japanese designer Nigo. The result is a bold fusion of fashion, automotive design, and cultural storytelling, captured through a capsule apparel collection and a special-edition G-Class model dubbed “Past II Future.”
Drawing from Nigo’s deep-rooted love for vintage Americana, the clothing line reimagines timeless styles through a modern lens. The collection features familiar staples like varsity and bomber jackets, flannel overshirts, and a coordinated denim set. At the visual core is a vintage photograph of a green G-Class from the Mercedes-Benz archives, paired with a stylized, handwritten Moncler logo in lowercase—both motifs recurring throughout the collection.
Among the standout pieces is a navy cotton cardigan with Ivy League sensibilities, elevated by a quilted synthetic back panel and an oversized embroidered appliqué. Other garments—including a satin shirt, shirt jacket, and knit sweater—are emblazoned with full-back archival Mercedes-Benz prints alongside the refreshed Moncler insignia. For those with a more restrained aesthetic, the offering also includes pared-down styles such as a minimalist workwear jacket, jeans set, and a down-filled field jacket in solid hues.
The centrepiece of the collaboration, the “Past II Future” G-Class, draws heavily from 1990s design while embracing contemporary craftsmanship. It features check flannel seat upholstery and a removable quilted roof—clear nods to Moncler’s technical outerwear roots. The SUV’s striking forest green body is accented with luxe gold details and an unconventional two-tone finish, blending rugged nostalgia with high fashion sensibility.
The full Moncler x Mercedes-Benz by Nigo collection is available now via Moncler’s official online store.
