Supreme Teams Up with Spike Lee's 40 Acres for a Bold Capsule Honouring Malcolm X and Clockers

Supreme is paying tribute to cinematic greatness with a new capsule in collaboration with Spike Lee's legendary production house, 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks. Founded in 1979 by Lee and Monty Ross, 40 Acres is more than a film company; it's a cultural engine behind some of American cinema's most provocative and powerful works, including Malcolm X, Do the Right Thing, and Clockers. Now, its legacy gets stitched into streetwear.

Named after the unfulfilled promise made to freed slaves after the Civil War, 40 Acres became the visual heartbeat of Black resistance and storytelling, from unforgettable Air Jordan commercials to Public Enemy's "Fight the Power." In the '90s, Lee took the brand into fashion with his Spike's Joint shops in NYC and LA. Supreme revives that spirit, blending past and present into a tightly curated drop.

The Supreme x 40 Acres capsule includes a standout varsity jacket with a bold "X" across the back, a direct nod to Malcolm X. Supreme and 40 Acres branding is also across the chest and sleeve. A baseball jersey mirrors the energy of an old-school sports uniform, featuring "SUPREME" and "40" in block letters like a player's name and number.

Two graphic tees round out the offering, one with a snapshot of Spike behind the lens and the other emblazoned with that powerful "X." A six-panel cap finishes the drop, featuring iconography from Lee's 1995 crime drama Clockers.

This homage-laced collaboration will be released on April 24 at Supreme stores and online, with the Asia release landing on April 26. Check out the full lineup below.
