Paintings by Liang Fu
This is a glimpse into the recent works of Liang Fu, an artist whose practice hovers between the tangible and the ethereal. Born in Sichuan, China, and now based in Paris, Fu holds a BFA and MFA from the National Fine Arts School of Nantes in France. His work delves into the intricate connections between the human body, shifting landscapes, and the passage of time, exploring themes of rebirth and transformation.
Fu’s paintings often depict figures on the edge of recognition—human forms dissolve into veils of mist, shadowed by an otherworldly presence. With a fluid interplay of oil, water, and pigment, his compositions evoke a sense of constant movement, where colours and shapes blur the boundaries between what is seen and unseen, known and unknown.
Each canvas feels like a fleeting moment suspended in time, an invitation to question perception and the shifting nature of existence.
