Balenciaga's 3XL Sneaker Campaign

After concluding its iconic Rodeo Bag campaign featuring Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, and Isabelle Huppert last month, Balenciaga has shifted focus to another standout piece from this season: the 3XL Sneaker.

Photographed by Chris Lensz, the campaign showcases models pairing these oversized sneakers with Balenciaga's more relaxed ready-to-wear pieces, set against the backdrop of simple, domestic scenes. The minimalist setup emphasizes the sneakers, allowing them to take the spotlight as they peek out from beneath loose-fitting denim or command attention when worn with black socks and shorts.

The 3XL Sneaker is a bold reinterpretation of the traditional high-performance running shoe, characterized by its exaggerated width and technical mesh construction. Available in neutral and vibrant colourways, the design features reflective accents on the heel and a branded 3XL tongue secured by thick, prominent laces. Balenciaga's signature logo appears on the toe and heel, complemented by a rubber sole that extends slightly beyond the heel. The sneaker also has several distressed versions, paying homage to its vintage roots.
