WACKO MARIA x Bob Marley Spring/Summer 2020 capsule
WACKO MARIA has partnered with Bob Marley‘s estate for a new Spring/Summer 2020capsule that celebrates the late artist’s 75th birthday. Following its collaboration with Jim Jarmusch on a “THE DEAD DON’T DIE” Hawaiian shirt, the Japanese label has opted for a colorful set of shirts emblazoned with various portraits of the reggae icon.
The concise lineup features two different graphic patterns, colored in tones of pink, purple, teal, salmon, black and white. The first pattern displays a collage of smoking Marley portraits — the words “NICE TIME” and “BOB MARLEY & THE WAILERS” are juxtaposed with the imagery. The second pattern is made up of full-body cut-outs of Marley playing soccer. Each shirt sports a relaxed, semi-boxy fit, complemented by notched lapels, a small chest pocket and crisp white buttons.
