Esmè Premiere

Sydney Songstress Esmè, is bringing herself well and truly into the spotlight with her most defining release yet - Ella. A track filled with mature and considered songwriter that finds itself in a space between world beats, RnB and jazz so smooth it’s almost slippery. Her lyrics are poetic and her flow is entrancing, pair this with other worldy backing vocals and industrial beats and you find yourself listening to -  Alienesque Neo Soul. A combination of sounds like no other artist in Australia at the moment.

Esmè spent late 2018 deep in the suburbs of Brooklyn writing and recording alongside some of music most prolific producers including: Royce Wood Junior (NAO) Twilite Tone (Kanye, Gorillaz) and Chris Penning. She left with a full body of work featuring hip hop inspired beats, swelling synths and string arrangements, jazz influenced vocals and thought provoking lyrics, all of which are due for release in the coming months.

Esmè is a musician of poise and consideration. No hook overused, no space unutilised. The Sydney based artist is no stranger to the spotlight so early on in her career and has found herself playing shows alongside some of Sydney’s finest Jazz and house live acts including the one and only - Godtet. As well as this her debut single ‘Come with me’ won the attention of Triple J presenters, Sony 301 and MTV Australia, and lead to her opening for Amy Shark at Australia’s first ever MTV unplugged.

Though her voice is characterised by her unique airy vocal tone, Esmé isn’t afraid to venture outside of her softer sound to a darker production realm which will be evident in her upcoming EP due for release at the end of 2019.
