Kid Fiction Unveils New EP “Unburdened”

Sydney Producer and Vocalist Kid Fiction dives deep on his new EP “Unburdened”, a dark tangle of moody textures and expansive soundscapes that sees the artist at his most raw and elemental.

Part Synthwave and part Prog Rock odyssey, the EP was pieced together over late nights in the studio in 2018/19. After the the intricate complexity of his debut EP, Kid Fiction set of in search of a deeper, more immediate feeling. “it wasn't about tricky electronics and showy pop numbers this time” Kid Fiction says, “I really just set out to make something emotionally honest”.

Kid Fiction has been making waves in the last 12 months with his own brand of trans-genre electronic music. RNGLDR Magazine described it as "unlike anything we've ever heard”. His 2018 debut EP was received with acclaim from international tastemakers such as XLR8R, Indie Shufe and Kaltblut, and sent him of on his first European tour, including a live set from Ministry Of Sound in London.

Last month Kid Fiction dropped a video to the EP track “At The Mall”. Floating through shades of gorgeous melancholy in the blackness of space with incredibly sharp visuals from clip director Aislinn Lowe.
