Nike x Offwhite Prestos

Nike x Offwhite Prestos

When Nike and Virgil Ablo (Offwhite) decided to collaborate on a shoe, it was always going to be a pairing of the ages. It is like when chocolate said to ice cream, ‘I think we would work well together, lets see what happens’. The Prestos that came from this come in two colours: white and black and is a busy, yet still aesthetically pleasing looking sneaker. It is one of the 10 sneakers which came from the collaboration and is a sneakerhead favourite. The shoe is filled with little gems like the signature Off White orange tag under the swoosh or the Off white inspired materials which really take it beyond your classic Nike. If you are into the clean white look these are perfect and if you want something with colours that jump out at you the blacks are like a theme park on your feet.

There are a number of features on this shoe that are unique and really exciting for sneakerheads. Firstly there is the sewn on Nike tick which is a rarity in itself. Mesh panels are found on the toe and stitched in and gives the shoe a unique ‘prototype’ look. A standout feature is also the cream coloured panel around the shoe which not only adds to the comfort and fit but also has a really nice ribcage aesthetic and takes it beyond your ordinary sneaker. One of my favourite subtle features is the fact that the shoe laces have the words 'shoelaces' written on the ends of them, just in case you forget. It also has an orange tag that is a really nice touch in adding the ‘extras’ to this one and can be taken off - it’s dealers choice really. The velcro strap that reads - Air is an amazingly simple add on and creates a back to the future aesthetic. They feel like kids shoes with the right features and considerations to work on an adult. The material is also perfect to the touch.

The Prestos are an extremely hard shoe to get your hands on with only a limited run but are a seriously big addition to your connection if you are looking to create jealousy on your other sneaker friends, non sneaker friends and the general public.
