Flower Beauty is on its way to Aussie Shores
Big news for all fans of cruelty-free beauty: actress Drew Barrymore’s cosmetics line, Flower Beauty, is finally on its way down under. Announced earlier this week, from next January you’ll be able to shop the Santa Clarita Diet actress’s expansive and affordable range, both online and in-store at Chemist Warehouse. With everything from liquid lipsticks, to cream blushes, to highlighters, beauty sponges and brushes, Flower has every product for every occasion - not to mention, they’re proudly cruelty-free and have sky-high ratings. There’s not a heavy price tag on these items either, with prices ranging from USD $4 to $40. If you’re as excited as I am, head to the Flower Beauty website and start drafting your wishlist: https://www.flowerbeauty.com/index.php/.
CFDA Fashion Fund: And The Winners Are ...
This week, the Council of Fashion Designers of America announced the 2018 winner and runners-up of their annual Fashion Fund award. Co-established by Vogue, the award was created to “help emerging American design talent find continued success in the business of fashion”, according to its website. With a winning prize of $US400 000 ($550 000) and two runners-up receiving $US150 000 ($206 000) each, past awardees have come to find worldwide renown and acclaim, including the likes of Alexander Wang, Rodarte, Jonathan Simkai and Prabal Gurung. Taking out the top award this year was designer Kerby Jean-Raymond of label Pyer Moss, for his celebrated designs lauded for their celebration of black American culture. The 2018 runners-up were Emily Adams Bode of the menswear brand Bode, and Jonathan Cohen of the eponymous womenswear brand.
Halloween 2k18
Yeah, yeah, we get it. Halloween may not be the BIGGEST deal here in Australia. But overseas people seem to go pretty crazy about it - especially your favourite celebrities. Check out the craziest and most extra costumes from this year. Top prize surely has to go to model Heidi Klum and her husband who are unrecognisable as Princess Fiona and Shrek; but notable runners-up include actress Sophie Turner and fiancé Joe Jonas as Addams Family faves, the Kardashian sisters as Victoria’s Secret Angels and singer Rita Ora as a spot-on Post Malone.
