Steps

The Clever dripper is a simple, no-nonsense immersion brewer. For this reason, it gives a consistent full bodied coffee. This makes for a repeatable, uncomplicated and inexpensive way to make your morning coffee. It produces a medium bodied and medium acidic brew.

What you need:

  • Clever Dripper

  • Filter Papers

  • Serving Papers

  • Serving vessel or mug

  • 20g ground coffee

  • Scales

  • Filtered Water

  • Pouring Kettle

  • Timer

Step 1

Weigh 20g of coffee, grind it to a coarse grind size; to the consistency of cracked pepper. 

Step 2

Place the filter paper into the Clever. Pour freshly boiled water through the filter paper to rinse the filter paper and warm the Clever and the mug. 

Place the Clever onto the mug to activate the valve, releasing the water. 

Remove the clever from the mug and discard the water from the mug and. Then add the ground coffee to the Clever.

Step 3

Start your timer and slowly pour water throughout the coffee grounds in a slow steady stream for a total of 300g of water.

Step 4

Allow the coffee to brew.

Step 4

After two minutes and thirty seconds, place the Clever onto the server, opening the valve, allowing the coffee to pass through the filter.
