Jan Siemen is a German artist living in Cologne. He has been working in graphic design since 2013. “In the studio, I create illustrations and all type of visuals for clients and personal projects.
"I have always been fascinated by the possibility of expressing feelings and emotions in one or more illustrations or photographs. There are so many talented artists who can express an emotion in a beautiful and creative way, it is something that inspires me. I love the challenge of finding ideas or concepts that entertain people or myself. It’s a great hobby, whether you’re a creator or a spectator. "
In 2017 Jan needed to create something more personal. "Make no mistake, I really love my job, but I needed to do something other than pure graphic design. Jan then posted his creations on his Instagram account, and this is how the machine was launched!
"I hope my art explains itself. I try to include my own vision, humor and my understanding of the world in my illustrations, I hope this triggers emotions to the the viewers. Each illustration is a short story or a subject for reflection. I don't have a single message or a single theme to convey. I illustrate because I like it.
